The first edition of the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) opens on 25th March 2014, highlighting Asia’s growing importance in the global energy mix. The conference will cover developments spanning from Russia to Australia and India to Oceania, with hopes of assisting the industry in meeting the current and coming challenges in Asia. The conference has the theme of “Meeting the Challenges for Asia’s Growth.”

The conference program consists of timely, leading-edge topics with two executive plenary sessions, 10 panel sessions, 53 technical sessions, and 10 country-specific sessions during the 4-day event. More than 200 exhibitors will be present at OTC Asia’s sold-out exhibition area, which includes an outdoor exhibition area.Malaysia's oil and gas reserve is now in a leading position in the Asia-pacific region, gas production increased by year. As one of the important oil and gas producer in the southeast of Asia, the Malaysian government also recognize that the development of oil and gas resources is very important, especially realize the importance of the offshore oil production, oil production cost is lower than the average price of crude oil, so the Malaysian oil and gas field production has a bright future.Although this is the first time OTC Asia held in Malaysia, there is a large number of an audience. Our association (CPEIA) brought 13 Chinese companies to the OTC Asia, including Sichuan Honghua, Ningbo Dongfangdianlan, etc. They also felt pleased with the quality which the sponsor gave them; obviously, the sponsor of OTC Asia did a lot preparation, and offered everyone an A+ service, including free drinks and food, the sponsor showed their warm reception. Most of the exhibitors express that they will continue to participate OTCA next edit.
